Bio
Tim Virgin grew up in the Midwest and his first Chicago radio job was at The Loop as Music Director and night personality in 1996. A year later, Tim slid up the dial to (former) Q101 where he controlled afternoon drive. Tim also graced the airwaves of other notable rock outlets; KROCK-WXRK in New York City and rocked our nation’s capital at the renowned rocker WHFS in Washington DC.
Tim forayed into the music industry as V.P. of Alternative Rock Promotion for Columbia Records. But his yearning to be on the air in Chicago returned him to (former) Q101 in 2009 as Assistant Program Director and Music Director and afternoon drive personality until ownership and format change in 2011.
Tim says, it’s a blessing and an honor that my career has come full circle back to Chicago and THE LOOP! This city is my home and to say that I am excited to be back in this town at the LEGEND that is “The Loop” is a huge understatement.”
