Buy Springsteen’s ’57 Chevy

One up the one upper in your family this Christmas with something truly one-of-a-kind: Bruce Springsteen’s first car.

The 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air convertible is being offered on, where else, but Ebay– according to a press release from the seller, Springsteen historian Michael Crane.

Springsteen bought the Chevy in 1975 for $2,000 but it’s worth has increased as it’s been the center piece at the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland from 2008-2010 with historical significance too. The car is credited as the place where Springsteen “wrote his signature songs ‘Born To Run,’ ‘Thunder Road’ and ‘Backstreets,’ according to the press release. Along with the muscle car, the winning bidder can expect a temporary insurance card, and Springsteen’s old Allstate one along with an 80 page book Out in the Street: Bruce Springsteen’s 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air Convertible.

 

The current bidding on eBay is up to $75,322.00 and there are six days left. The reserve has not been met yet.
