Aerosmith- No U.S. Tour

Aerosmith were supposed to announce a fall U.S. this month, but that is now off the calendar.

Ahead of the band’s performance in Phoenix this Sunday as part of the NCAA Final Four tournament, Joe Perry tells Arizona Central, “One of the reasons we postponed [the American] tour [was] to give ourselves some time to get something done. We definitely have another record in us, if not two. But we’ll see how that goes.”

Their last album, 2012’s Music From Another Dimension, was critical and commercial flop.

Aerosmith are also changing around their live performances for their upcoming Aero-Vederci Baby! tour, realizing that, too, was getting stale. “There are probably five or six songs in there that we always play. ‘Sweet Emotion,’ ‘Dream On,’ you’ve got to play those. But there’s other stuff that when each record came out, they were the ones that ended up being a main part of our show but they got left behind, you know, as time goes on. We resurrected them. I think the fans will really be surprised.”

Aerosmith will go from Phoenix to Japan for two shows there next week, followed by Europe from May through early July.
