We've seen the death of the Walkman, now its bretheren at Sony are following suit.
The electronics company says the last shipments of the TCM-400, TCM-410 and TCM-450 cassette recorders will be coming early next year, and after that the models will be no more.
This doesn't mean you'll no longer have a way to play or record tapes, it just means you can't do it portably. Sony will still manufacture boomboxes with tape decks and CD players. Still, it may be time to transfer your tunes to a digital library.
