Take that, Crock Pot

Not that the VitaClay Smart Organic Multicooker is that vastly different from a Crock Pot, but it does use the power of the earth to make some tasty, effortless food. That's because instead of having a pot lined with steel, glass or ceramic, the Multicooker is lined with Zisha clay, a slow-forming clay only found in China that's typically left unglazed. This means the porous walls of the clay absorb moisture, then very slowly release it back into your food, making it extra tender.
There are no other bells and whistles on the Multicooker. Pick your ingredients, throw them in, and then select either Rice, Slowcooker or Yogurt. You can slow down or speed up the cooking process for when you want to eat, or set the 8-cup cooker to keep your food evenly warm for half the day if you're grazing.
Making yogurt in the Multicooker is a bit more complicated. You'll need to boil the milk before cooking all the ingredients for at least six hours, so it's not something you'll want to do often, but it is there if you need five quarts of yogurt.
VitaClay is selling the Multicooker for $140.
