Wearable video camera from Panasonic

Electronics and appliance giant Panasonic wants to make it easier -- and comfortable -- for you to record a video from the first person perspective. The HX-A100 Wearable Camcorder gives you two options: you cna either stream the HD video live on Ustream (using WiFi) or you can record to a memory card in the tethered control to save and edit later. The control unit is on an armband that you wear, so you want to be careful about flailing around and hooks nearby to get stuck on.

The camera is waterproof (down to 5ft for up to 30 minutes) and dustproof.  The mount doesn't have to stay on your head, you cna easily mount the camera to a helmet or backpack with the mounting system.

It's got feature called Level Shot which fixes tilted images and an image stabilizer to get rid of blurriness and the specs also boast a crisp slow-motion feed in HD quality.

So if you're a daredevil on a bike/boat/whatever or just wanting to film a how-to video, this would be the perfect gadget to look into.

You can preorder them online for $299.99 and they'll ship in March.
