Czahor here from The Maxwell Show, it's time for Tech Toy Tuesday.
New Releases, today we get a limited edition, numbered remaster of Bob Dylan’s Blood On The Tracks on Super Audio CD for the six of you who have SACD players. Dylan has a few remasters coming out this year, Blood On The Tracks will get a vinyl edition in a few months, if you’re a Dylan fan, look into this one.
On Blu Ray and DVD, he will find you, and he will kill you. Liam Nesson playing the only role he ever plays these days in Taken 2, kidnap boogaloo.
Video Games there’s one major release all month and it comes out today and that's Devil May Cry. Devil May Cry? Wasn’t that a playstation release like 10 years ago you say? Why yes, yes it was. This is the series reboot and it is getting some amazing reviews. If you like killing things with swords and guns and swords with guns on them and guns with swords on them in a game that knows not to take itself seriously, this one is for you.
And finally, last week was CES, that’s the consumer electronics show, it’s when all of the toy and gadget manufacturers get together and show off their new wares and there were some doozies this year, like the iPotty, a toilet training device for kids with an ipad dock, because that’s what you need.
But that’s not the toy this week, normally I like to pick something you can actually go out and buy right now, but not today. Tech toy of the week this week is Sonte Film.
This is film you can layer onto a window and then it activates via Wi-Fi, and can be adjusted with your smartphone. Hopefully it’ll be available by the end of the year. It’s designers claim it will be easy enough to install yourself. It’s pricy at between $100 and $200 for a square meter, but that will eventually come down, and compared to blinds or curtains, it’s still not a bad price.
