Our comic of the month for November is Paul F. Tompkins! Paul is from Philadelphia, PA, where he started performing stand-up comedy in 1986. In 1994, he moved to Hollywood, CA, where he met comic actor Jay Johnston, with whom he crafted the live sketch show "The Skates." This led Paul to a stint as a writer and performer on HBO's "Mr. Show with Bob and David" where he was nominated for an Emmy award for writing. Paul also wrote and starred in his own one-man show, "Driven to Drink," for HBO.

Paul's stand-up has been featured on "Late Night with Conan O'Brien," "Comedy Central Presents" and Paul garnered a WGA nomination for his work as a writer and correspondent on HBO's "Real Time with Bill Maher."

Our comic for the month of October is the wonderful Tig Notaro!

Since getting her start in stand-up, Tig has appeared in a number of television shows. She is most well-known as “Officer Tig” from THE SARAH SILVEMAN PROGRAM. Tig has also appeared on THE OFFICE , COMMUNITY, THE LIFE & TIMES OF TIM, IN THE MOTHERHOOD (with Megan Mullally and Cheryl Hines), DOG BITES MAN (with Zach Galifianakis), was a recurring guest-host on MOVIES AT OUR HOUSE, had her own half-hour special, COMEDY CENTRAL PRESENTS TIG, she’s a regular on CONAN and has also appeared on LATE NIGHT WITH JIMMY FALLON, LAST COMIC STANDING, JIMMY KIMMEL LIVE, THE LATE LATE SHOW WITH CRAIG FERGUSON, LAST CALL WITH CARSON DALY, Comedy Central’s PREMIUM BLEND.

Our comic for the month of September is the great Jon Dore! Named one of "10 comics to watch" by Variety, Ottawa-born comedian, host and actor Jon Dore is renowned for his offbeat humour and unique bait-and-switch style. Dore recently starred in the critically acclaimed ABC-TV series How to Live with Your Parents (for the Rest of Your Life) opposite Sarah Chalke, Elizabeth Perkins and Brad Garrett. 

Dore starred in the stand-up specials Comedy Central Presents...Jon Dore and Comedy Now! (CTV/The Comedy Network); appeared on a number Comedy Central's specials including Live At GothamCC: Stand-Up: The Bonnaroo Experience and Mash Up; made guest-starring turns on How I Met Your Mother (CBS) andScare Tactics (SyFy); and was the lead in the CBS pilot My Life As An Experiment

Dan St. Germain

The comic of the month for August is Dan St. Germain! 

Dan St Germain was chosen as featured comic in Variety’s annual prestigious “10 Comics To Watch” list. Dan’s Comedy Central special The Half Hour recently hit the airwaves, and he’s now busy developing a script for the network called Hell Hole. He has appeared on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, Best Week Ever, John Oliver’s New York Stand-Up Show, The Electric Company, and a bunch of other basic and not-so-basic cable programs. He’s the creator and star of the web series Kicking Dan Out featured on My Damn Channel and co-hosts a weekly podcast with Sean Donnelly called My Dumb Friends, soon to be broadcast on Comedy Central Sirius.

Owen Benjamin

Our comic of the month for July is Owen Benjamin! He is a regular correspondent on The Jay Leno Show having appeared twice in a segment performing comical jingles for local Burbank businesses.

Benjamin has starred in several web-only video series. Since 2008 he has been appearing on Sony Pictures Television's C-SPOT, including the role of Owen onGaytown as well as hosting his own series, Owen Benjamin Presents. In March 2009 Benjamin began playing the role of Chance Stevens on Heckle U for CBS Interactive.

In 2009, he played the leading role in the romantic comedy All's Faire in Love, costarring with Christina Ricci.

On July 19, 2012, Sullivan and Son premiered on TBS. Benjamin has a supporting role as Owen, Steve Sullivan's childhood friend.

Amy Schumer

Our comic for the month of June is Amy Schumer! Her show on Comedy Central was just picked up for a second season.

Amy is coming off her one-hour stand-up special, Mostly Sex Stuff, which became Comedy Central’s second-highest rated special this year. She was one of the featured comedians on Comedy Central’s Roast of Roseanne, following her breakout performance on the 2011 Roast of Charlie Sheen. Amy was most recently on Louie and in Season 2 of HBO’s Girls.

Schumer has appeared on The Howard Stern Show, Jimmy Kimmel Live, Conan, and Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. She was featured in Rolling Stone Magazine, The New York Times, Wall Street Journal and as one of Entertainment Weekly and Los Angeles Times "13 Faces to Watch in 2013."

Michael Che

Our comic for the month of May is Micheal Che! Michael is a stand-up comic from the Lower East Side of Manhattan. . As a performer, Che cites Patrice O'Neal and George Carlin as his biggest influences. He appreciates performers that can identify humanity in the most controversial actions and convey it to the audience through humor -- which is the approach he takes with his comedy. Che has been featured at major comedy clubs throughout Manhattan, but has built a name for himself playing alternative rooms in New York's downtown scene. He has appeared on IFC's Bunk, Comedy Central and has written for Saturday Night Live. Check out Michael on the Late Show with David Letterman below!

Tommy Johnagin

Our comic of the month for April is Tommy Johnagin! 

Tommy is an autobiographical story telling comedian who is a favorite at comedy clubs all across the country. In 2007 Tommy was invited to the prestigious “Just For Laughs” comedy festival in Montreal, Canada where he was the highest reviewed “New Face.” He has also appeared at Comedy Central’s “South Beach Comedy Festival”

TV credits include: Four appearances on “The Late Show” with David Letterman. His own half-hour special on Comedy Central, Comedy Central’s “Live at Gotham” and, “John Oliver’s New York Stand-up Show”. In 2010 he finished 2nd on NBC’s Last Comic Standing. He’s also appeared on CMT’s “Comedy Stage” and TBS’s “Very Funny Stand Up Show”

He has also been a guest numerous times on the nationally syndicated radio programs “The Bob and Tom Show” and the “The Ron and Fez Show”.


Erin Jackson

 Our comic of the month for March is the talented Erin Jackson! Since first making a name for herself at colleges and east coast comedy clubs, Erin's warm, conversational style and relatable humor have helped to propel her onto the national stage. She has performed on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" and Comedy Central’s "Live at Gotham," and was a semifinalist on season 6 of NBC’s "Last Comic Standing." Erin has also appeared on VH-1 and worked with both HBO and BET on live comedy and awards specials. She's been a panelist on pop-culture countdown shows such as "40 Greatest Hip Hop Songs of the 90's" and "Best Movie Kisses" and was featured most recently on TV Guide Network's "StandUp in Stilettos." Erin is currently touring the country as part of the "Pumps & Punchlines" theatre tour.

Our comic of the month for February is the lovable Pete Holmes!  Maybe you saw his half-hour Comedy Central Presents. Or on Conan. Or Jimmy Fallon. Or maybe you saw him on VH1. Or heard him as the e*trade baby or on Comedy Central's Ugly Americans. Pete was named one of Variety's Top Ten Comics to Watch in 2011. Pete also draws cartoons for The New Yorker, wrote for NBC's "Outsourced" and FOX's "I Hate My Teenage Daughter." He is a regular on and makes videos with FrontPage Films. This is his website.
