Here in Chicago we love our sports and right now we are definitely getting our fill for all kinds of sports fans! This weekend The Loop hooked me up with a press pass to go to the UFC fights at the United Center. As some of you may know, I’m a diehard mixed martial arts fan so this was a real treat for me! I was even able to go behind the scenes and meet some of the fighters as well as snap a couple of pictures. I died and went to MMA heaven Saturday night!

All you hockey fans should be going crazy right now too! The Blackhawks are on a roll! They remain undefeated and just took their streak to 6-0! The next victims for them are the Minnesota Wild. Now, I am originally from Minnesota but don’t get it twisted, I’m a Blackhawk fan through and through!

And last but certainly not least, the Chicago Bulls. Last night they beat the Charlotte Bobcats and I was there to witness the great win. Even if you’re not a basketball fan, I’d suggest going to a game just for our mascot, Benny the Bull. Benny is arguably the best mascot I’ve ever seen. He always has tons of energy, knows dance moves for every song, including Gangam Style, and half the time he shoots a basketball from half-court, he makes it! I’m convinced that under that costume is an Olympic gymnast.

For all of you that haven’t had a chance to get my calendar yet, I’ll be doing my next signing this Friday from 8-10pm at 115 Bourbon Street and announcing a great local band onto stage. The band is called The Loop Rockers (what a great name) and I’m excited to see what they are all about! With a name like that you really can’t go wrong! So come out, grab a calendar, some drinks, and hang out with me and the band!
