	The Sons Of Classic Rock! Hey guys... It's Walt. We're gearing up for a sweet weekend on the Loop! As you may know, I spent most of the 90's in my band Stabbing Westward. We had a great ride! I got to tour the world, play rock and roll every night and I ended up with 2 Gold records! So I convinced Pete, Pat and Byrd that we should dig into the 90's this weekend! There's been some great rock tunes in the past 20 years. So this weekend, it's the "Sons of Classic Rock" and it's going on all weekend. Plus, we've got a special tribute to Q101 planned for Saturday night at 9pm, with a special guest host. I hope you'll check it out!! The Loop was born in 1977, out of a goofy station that had all girl DJs and played sappy "Adult Rock." In '79, an eccentric Hawaiian guy bought the station and brought in guys like Steve & Garry, Sky Daniels, and a dozen or so other misfits. First order of business was losing the James Taylor and pumpin' out Nugent, Zeppelin, and everything that rocked… blowing up the disco records… and the rest is history. Amazingly, the Loop is still alive, and intends to be for a long time. So get used to it.
