Dweezil Zappa Talks and Plays Van Halen - Video

First off, it had to be both cool and kinda weird to grow up as the son of one of the worlds greatest and most creative musicians – Frank Zappa. Well, Dweezil did, and man has he got some cool stories about his youth. I’ve posted a video below of Dweezil in a recent show, talking about how he first met Eddie Van Halen, and how Eddie produced his first recording. Enjoy!

The Loop was born in 1977, out of a goofy station that had all girl DJs and played sappy "Adult Rock." In '79, an eccentric Hawaiian guy bought the station and brought in guys like Steve & Garry, Sky Daniels, and a dozen or so other misfits. First order of business was losing the James Taylor and pumpin' out Nugent, Zeppelin, and everything that rocked… blowing up the disco records… and the rest is history. Amazingly, the Loop is still alive, and intends to be for a long time. So get used to it.
