... The bands you grew up listening to start taking up residency in Las Vegas.

This must have been how my Dad felt when all of his favorite musicians started playing Las Vegas. To me, as a kid, it made sense.. Where else would you want to see Frank, Sammy, and/or Elvis? Vegas! I’m not sure if I even knew that they played any other place. I mean, isn’t Vegas the place where all the old outdated musicians go to play to old people?
(cue dramatic music)

And then like a slap it hits you.. My God, these are now the bands I grew up listening too.

Well, we can now add Guns and Roses to the list of bands that are taking up residency in Las Vegas. They will be performing at the Joint inside the Hard Rock Casino for 12 shows starting on Halloween of 2012 and running through November 24^th. They are calling it “Appetite for Democracy”. Did you catch the pun there… that Axl is very witty.

So, now the down and dirty hard rockin street punks from LA can join the rest of the new Vegas Crue.. get it? Crue.. come on that’s funny.

The scariest part, I’ll be damned if it doesn’t sound like a kick ass time. I mean, you and I could hit the free buffet for some Salisbury steak, catch the early Wayne Newton matinee, and then hit Guns and Roses before our arthritis medicine starts to wear off.

Appetite for Destruction tickets will run you about $45 and went on sale this morning.
