The electric guitar hadn't been around all that long before Eddie decided he wanted to rip it apart and rebuild it to his taste. Thus the Frankenstein was born. These days, Eddie doesn't need to sit in his garage and solder wires together to experiment with tone, he has a whole team that helps him build and design the infamous Wolfgang Guitar.
Below is a cool video interview of Eddie discussing the guitar with his production team. It's a very cool look into Eddie's mind on guitars, their purpose, and what has gone into the design of the new models.
Personally, I have played an older version of the Wolfgang and thought it was a great ax, not necessarily my style as far as looks go, but it did play and sound great. Now, I did play and record through his original 5150 amp head and wish I never sold it.
The new Wolfgang guitar retails out the door for about $3k, which is a LOT of money for any guitar, however considering the quality of the build and the designer it might be a worthy choice to check out.
