Deluxe RUSH 2112 on 12/12/12

Coincidence? I think not. Rush will be releasing a special deluxe version of their iconic album 2112 on December 12th, 2012.
So what’s new?
The word is that RUSH sound engineer Rich Chycki has confirmed that the new release will include a 5.1 surround sound remix of the album.
OK, and?
And that’s really all I know.
I do know that it will be released in several version. One with a CD and a DVD containing the 5.1 surround mix, and one with a CD and a Bluray containing the 5.1 surround mix… and wait for it.. a super deluxe edition that contains.. a CD and a Bluray.
Yeah, in other words, all the details are still out on this latest version. But who cares? It’s RUSH. Just buy the damn thing for your favorite RUSH fan and at Christmas they will giggle like a little school girl while listening to the opening synthesizers bounce off every wall in the house. Ah, the holidays.
