Fleetwood Mac Tour 2013
Posted 12/5/2012 9:30:00 AM

We had been hearing the rumors of this tour coming for months. Did you see what I did there? Come on that’s funny.

Stevie and Lindsey had been working hard on solo projects recently and some of the original Mac members had their doubts on ever touring again.

"I don't believe Fleetwood Mac will ever tour again, but I really hope we do," Mick Fleetwood told Playboy magazine.

Good news Mick, it looks like you’ll be able to refill the home coffers, Fleetwood Mac will tour starting April 4th, in Columbus Ohio. The band will make 34 dates in North America before heading over the pond.

"If everything goes will we'll be in Europe doing festivals this summer," says Nicks. "Then we'll actually tour Europe, which is different than just doing festivals. Then we might do fifteen or so shows in Australia."

As previously mentioned by Nicks, her and Lindsey have been working on new material, with the potential for one or two tracks to become available before the tour.

"We may be able to organize something. I wouldn't think a whole album, but possibly something before we hit the road or, if not then, possibly something a little more extensive after the tour, depending on what everybody wants to do," Mr. Buckingham  said to Billboard. "The material is quite good, but we have to get everybody on the same page with that, and we'll see where it goes."

Several people immediately asked me if Christine McVie will also be on tour. Unfortunately, the answer is no. Christine had retired from touring back in 1998 and has no intentions of jumping back on the road in 2013.

I’ve listed the North American tour dates below. You can also hear Zakk interview Stevie about the tour on his blog post found here: http://www.wlup.com/TheWall/blogentry.aspx?BlogEntryID=10474745
