Bruce Springsteen, Roger Waters and Van Halen were among the top grossing touring acts from 2012.  But none of these great classic rock artists took the top spot. That distinction belongs to Madonna who grossed over $228-million during her MDNA tour.

“The Boss” along with the E Street Band finished right behind Madonna grossing just a little under $200-million touring stadiums this year which included 2 shows at Wrigley Field.  Roger Waters, who also brought the angst of the rock opera “The Wall” to “The Friendly Confines””, took in $186-million.  The former Pink Floyd founder was good for 3^rd most lucrative. Van Halen made $54-million touring this year and was 8^th on the list.
