Dave Grohl is gearing up to have a big year. His latest project is a documentary movie called Sound City, and he just released the first single from the soundtrack “from Can to Can’t” featuring Slipknot/Stone Sour’s Corey Taylor on lead vocals, Cheap Trick’s Rick Nielsen on guitar, and Kyuss’ Scott Reeder on bass.
Dave has put together a new supergroup to help promote the movie when it premiers at Sundance on January 18th. The new supergroup features John Fogerty, Stevie Nicks, Nirvana bandmates Krist Novoselic, his whole Foo Fighters band, Rick Nielsen of Cheap Trick, and many others.
Now, the new “supergroup” has added another show. It looks like Dave will be taking the band with him to Los Angeles on January 31st to play the Hollywood Palladium. This just happens to be the same night the documentary makes its theatrical debut at the Cinerama Dome.
