Queen 25th Anniversary of Live at Wembley
Posted 1/22/2013 12:55:00 PM

Widely hailed as one of the great rock events in history, Queen performed two sold-out shows at Wembley stadium on Friday July 11th and Saturday July 12th 1986. Now, somebody with a very low aptitude for mathematics has announced that this amazing concert will now be released in a super cool 25th anniversary edition.

Let’s see, 2013 minus 25 years comes to? Wait. What? Doesn’t that come to 1988?

Seriously, I don’t get it either. Unless of course you consider that anniversary editions are all the rage and a great excuse to rerelease material to you’re built in audience in the hopes of generating additional streams of revenue. I’m just sayin.

Hey, don’t let some bad math detour you from this cool package.

What you now get is restored original video, remastered sound in both stereo and 5.1 surround, and both nights of concert, plus a small feature called “The Magic Tour” where Roger and Brian reflect back on the performance and life leading up to the big day.

The Queen 25th Anniversary edition of Live at Wembley will be released on March 12th, 2013.. 27 years after the concert took place. Odd, but true.

I’ve posted a track listing for the discs below.
