The mad cat in the hat, who just also happens to be one of the best damn guitar players on the circuit these days, has just released a new video for Anastasia. From last years Apocalyptic Love, this tune has a super cool intro that I really like.

“It actually started when we were playing our last European tour. When I was doing a guitar solo, I stumbled on this little phrase and it stuck in my head. I kept trying to do something with that phrase every night after that. Then it got longer and longer. When I came home off the road, it became the intro riff. The rest of it just fell into place.” – Slash

It reminds me of the days when most great guitar driven rocks songs had some sort of a cool intro solo like Randy Rhoads classical intro to Diary of a Madman. Love it!
