This looks to be an awesome documentary about Jimi Hendrix with a ton of film and photos we haven't seen before.

A new feature-length documentary film, Jimi Hendrix – Hear My Train A Comin‘, will be released on Nov. 5, in which people will be able to see Hendrix like never before. The film release is timed to a year-long commemoration of what would have been Hendrix’s 70th birthday on Nov. 27, 2012.

The film, directed by Bob Smeaton, will feature unseen performances of the late superstar, home movies, photographs, drawings, and interviews with Hendrix. In addition, the film will include commentary from iconic musicians such as Paul McCartney, Mitch Mitchell and Billy Cox, just to name a few. The film will give fans a chance to see Hendrix as he really was, and a look behind the genius.

Recently uncovered film footage of Hendrix at the 1968 Miami Pop Festival is among the previously unseen treasures featured in Hear My Train A Comin', as is previously unseen performance footage and home movies taken by Hendrix and drummer Mitch Mitchell.
