Led Zeppelin Box Sets 2014

Our boy Jimmy Page has been off the grid lately and many people have been wondering what he’s been up to these days, well, it looks like we have an answer – working on new Led Zeppelin Box Sets.
You might remember a brief quote from the mighty guitarist with Mojo back in 2012 as he addressed the potential for an upcoming series of box sets.
“There are a number of Led Zeppelin projects that will come out next year because there are different versions of tracks that we have that can be added to the album so there will be boxsets of material that will come out, starting next year. There will be one boxset per album with extra music that will surface.”
We haven’t really heard much from Page since he made that statement, however Robert Plant recently made a statement that gives us an update on the much anticipated series of box sets from Led Zeppelin.
“I found some quarter-inch spools recently, and I had a meeting with Jimmy, and we backed them up and listened to them, and there’s some very, very interesting bits and pieces that probably will turn up on these things… I’m desperately trying to get this one track – or the two tracks of John Paul Jones singing lead. And so far [Jimmy] is up to giving me two cars and a greenhouse not to get them on the album.”
While Robert Plants comments are encouraging to hear, and it does look like box sets are definitely on the horizon, it seems that a release date sometime in 2014 is more realistic.
