Other acts have been doing it successfully over the last couple of years, so its no surprise that Peter Gabriel has decided to go on tour to celebrate the 25 anniversary of his 5X Platinum album “SO”.
Like most bands these days supporting a block buster anniversary release, Peter Gabriel will perform the entire album SO, track by track.
“Focusing on the entirety of that multi-platinum album, the tour, entitled BACK TO FRONT, will feature Gabriel with many of the members of the original band he toured with 25 years ago and will feature the album's songs from start to finish plus some of his other biggest hits.”
The Back to Front tour comes to Chicago on September 27th:
United Centre – 27 September Fan pre-sale & VIP tickets Start: Tue, May 29 (10am) End: Thu, May 31 (5pm)

I saw a poll on the NME webiste, where they asked "What's your favorite Queen album? If you think about it, that's a really good questions. I divide Queen's recording career into at least 3 catagories... The early stuff, the really popular albums from the late 70s and all the stuff they released in the 80s.
So here's where everything landed according to NME readers:
15. Hot Space
14. Made In Heaven
13. The Miracle
12. Flash Gordon (remember that)
11. The Game
10. Innuendo
9. Jazz
8. A Kind of Magic
7. A Day At The Races
6. Queen
5. The Works
4. Queen II
3. A Night At The Opera
2. Sheer Heart Attack
1. News Of The WOrld

Axl Rose Falls on Stage - Video

I’m not sure why I enjoy watching rock stars fall off stage, but I do. In this video, a wounded Axl rose, fresh from falling off a table, says goodbye to the crowd and thanks them for putting up with his limping around the stage. Then as he walks backwards, not looking of course, he falls over. It’s quick, but funny. Enjoy!
David Lee Roth PR Video on Van Halen Cancellations

While some members of the music community have been quick to deliver the "I told you so" response to Van Halens' cancellation of 31 US shows, David Lee Roth has decided to deliver the VH PR statement through a video message on Vimeo. In his often seen train engineer costume and with his trusty dog by his side, David in typical cool fashion tried to dispel the rumors.
According to the diamond one, the band is getting along better than ever and the US date cancellations are simply a matter of overbooking themselves and do not reflect a breakdown of the band members.
“As usual, we bit off way more than we can chew when it came to scheduling,” the Rothmeister continues. “The band is winning, but our schedule has been sidelined for unnecessary roughness. If we continue past July 4th and all the way into Australia and Japan, then ...

Slash is no dummy! He knows that in order to maitain a career, you need to sell CDs... and there are very few places left who actually sell phsyical CDs. Wal-Mart happens to be one of them.
So, as Slash prepared to drop his sophomore solo disc, Apocolyptic Love on Tuesday, he performed an episode for Wal-Mart's Soundcheck series. He does about 6 songs from the new disc.

New Court Documents Spotlight Brad Delps Feelings about Sholz

Being in a band is never easy, and only those on the inside really know what’s going on, or at least they have the best shot of knowing what is going on, that’s for sure. It seems some new court documents may shed some light on the actual feelings that Brad Delp had for Tom Sholz and Boston.
You see, The Boston Herald has been sued by Tom Sholz alleging that they in its reporting on Delp’s suicide in 2007, the Herald defamed him by implying that Scholz was responsible for Delp’s decision to take his life. Of course, The Boston Herald denies this “The Herald denies that it blamed Scholz for Delp’s decision to commit suicide, and states that it accurately reported the opinions expressed to it by Delp’s friends, family and acquaintances about the pressures that Delp said he was feeling near the end of his life.”

One night last year, Roger Waters, David Gilmour and Nick Mason, the surviving members of Pink Floyd reunited for one performance of The Wall at London's O2 Arena. Now, the band has released some behind the scenes footage from soundcheck.
There's no hidding the fact that I'm a huge Pink Floyd fan so I absolutely love this peek backstage.
Although Gilmour and Mason won't be on hand, Roger will build the wall in Wrigley Field on Friday, June 8th. You can still get tickets by clicking here.
Bono Richest Man in Rock and Roll

It’s good to be BONO today. The lead singer from U2 is about to become the richest man in Rock and Roll, and it’s all thanks to Facebook.
Bono not only fronts one of the coolest bands in rock and roll, he is also the co-founder and managing director of Elevation Partners equity firm. Who knew? Well, as it turns out, Elevation Partners purchased 1% of Facebook from the secondary market back in 2009 for about $90 million. Then, last year they dished out another $120 million for 1.5% more. It’s estimated that the value of that purchase will be worth $1.5 billion dollars by the end of business Friday.
To put this all in perspective, Bono’s new earnings should put him well above the net worth of Beatle Paul McCartney, who has been sitting pretty at the top of the rock and roll rich list with a current net ...
