Hello Chicago! It’s April….and I could not be more
excited to be your 2007 Loop Rock Girl! This year I’ll
be hitting the streets of Chicago to meet all of you Loyal Loopers!
But until I get to meet all of you, here’s a little about
me!
Although I’ve been working as a model in Chicago for over
three years I’ve had an interesting career that spans
further than just in front of the camera.
I grew up
just north of the city. I was never one to conform, once I reached
high school, I was sent to a behavioral disorder school due
to the trouble I just couldn’t avoid as a teenager. Just
like all the rock music I love, I was always about going against
the normal, mainstream way of life.
I straightened up after graduating from night school and became
certified to work as a medical crisis counselor for 15 Chicago
emergency rooms. Helping someone in the first few hours after
a crisis is extremely intense. I learned that the right words
and guidance can be so effective in the success of their recovery.
Soon following my certification I became an emergency medical
technician, (EMT). But, unfortunately I have a history of driving
way above the speed limit, and I found myself unable to practice
due to the excessive amount of speeding I accumulated over my
teenage years! The insurance company wouldn’t cover me
to drive the ambulance! Isn’t that proof I can get around
fast, and make it in one piece?!?
After the EMT aspirations didn’t work out, for the past
four years, I’ve been working for the Morton Grove Park
District just outside of Chicago with disabled children and
adults. It’s truly some of the most rewarding work I’ve
ever done.
Besides being a social worker, I’ve done modeling on the
side for the past three years. As a model, I’ve worked
all over Chicagoland; in fact, you may actually have seen me
before! I was the Midwest winner for the 2007 Maxim Model Search.
I also appeared on the 2006 American Iron Horse Motorcycle poster
where I toured through Sturgis and Daytona Bike Week during
bike rallies for singings.
Other than working, in my spare time one of my hobbies is Gracie/Brazilian
jiu-jitsu. Gracie/Brazilian jiu-jitsu is the marshal art which
became famous on account of Hoyce Gracie from the UFC. It’s
the greatest workout I’ve come across, it’s not
like I could really beat any one up…but maybe! I also
enjoy horse back riding and competed for many years. I genuinely
love rock music and have always listened to it my whole life.
Some of my favorites are Tool, Godsmack, Three Doors Down, STP
and Stevie Ray Vaughn.
I look forward to meeting all of you Loopers out at events this
year! I’m so excited to be the new spokes model for The
Loop! It finally gives me an opportunity to put a personality
behind myself instead of just being a face in the modeling world.
Keep coming back to my page here at WLUP.com for new photos
and where we can meet up! See you soon Chicago! Together,
we’ll celebrate the 30th anniversary of The Loop!
