More Lost Rockers
We’ve lost some more music industry legends. It seems we are at a point where many of these cool rockers have reached the age where our bodies simply start breaking down. I’m sorry, I keep finding myself saying this, but this needs to stop. I have been writing far too many of these over the last few months.
Andy Johns, the legendary producer and engineer has passed away at age 61. Johns worked on some seriously great albums that we have all enjoyed including; Led Zeppelin IV, Physical Graffiti, House of the Holy, and the Rolling Stones 'Exile On Main Street,' 'Goats Head Soup' and 'Sticky Fingers.'’ But that is all just the tip of the iceberg really. Andy had worked with Ozzy, Van Halen, Godsmack, Cinderella, Bon Jovi and so many more. His cause of death has not officially been announced, although some sources say that live trouble may have been involved. Regardless, a true talent has passed.
Neil Smith, former bassist for ACDC and Rose Tattoo passed away yesterday after loosing his battle with cancer. Neil played briefly for ACDC back in 1974 when the band was going through some lineup changes.
We thank these kind gentlemen for their hard work and contributions to rock and roll.
