Sunday May 19th, 2013 - The Little Angels Pledge Run
This is one of my favorite rides of the year, and often one of the coldest. Imagine thousand and thousands of bikes all cruising through the Northern Illinois countryside, all to help support one of the greatest organizations ever - The Little Angels.
"Little Angels is a loving home for children and young adults with severe disabilities and complex medical needs. It is a state-of-the-art facility offering round-the-clock skilled nursing, therapeutic and habilitation services in a warm, caring environment."
This is an organization that has seen its state funding drastically cut and absolutely needs the help and support of the community to continue with their mission of providing outstanding services to these wonderful children and young adults.
The Rock Mafia and friends will definitely be attending this event.
The ride starts and ends at Woodstock Harley Davidson:
2050 S. Eastwood Drive
Woodstock, Illinois 60098

Tickets are available now, and they offer a discount for pre-registering.
At the time of this post, registration is $25
What to expect and tips:
One of the largest motorcycle runs in Illinois with several thousand motorcycles of all kinds.
Kickstands up at 10:30
Pre and Post run parking is at a very large lot next door to woodstock HD. You can't miss it. Staff will direct you into the parking area.
Keep your party together prior to parking, once in, you will not be able to maneuver around to join any stragglers or early arrivals.
It takes a long time for the whole line of bikers to leave that parking lot, the sooner your arrive the sooner you head out once started.
The ride is usually about 80 miles or so through northern Illinois with attendants helping at all turns,
Once the run has returned to Woodstock HD, expect a large fun party with live music, food, drinks, and raffles at the end.
You will NEED to have registered to attend the fenced in party, and its worth it.
Often food is included in your registration, but I'm not positive about this year.
This ride is often extremely cold, so bring your leathers and dress appropriately. Let's hope for sun and warmth :)
