In my everyday life, I really like to try crazy new things, but golfing outside in the middle of winter in a bikini definitely wasn’t on my list. I’ll try (almost) anything once, so I grabbed my bikini and boots and headed Saturday night out to “Suits and Boots”
at TopGolf. The place was packed, tons of fishbowl cocktails, music, awesome prizes, a goofy photo booth, and a crazy dance party! I had sooooo much fun even though we all froze our asses off! (Tequila definitely helped me with that) Pete and I met so many awesome people and the event was a huge success for the chosen charity. I even did the limbo, wiped out in one of the final rounds, have the bruise on my knee to prove it! I definitely do not want to miss this event next year; and trust me, mark it on your calendars now.
Thursday and Friday night we had Amstel Light bar nights at Play Book Sports Bar in Niles and Buffalo Wild Wings in Evanston. So many people stopped by to sign up for the Vegas trip to see Mötley Crüe!
Play Book is a gorgeous new sports lounge and I had a blast with the friendly staff. Buffalo Wild Wings has the heart of a college town and we had so many people having fun with us winning prizes during the Bulls game. We are drawing the Sin City trip winner this week, so stay tuned.
Saturday afternoon I hung out at the Progressive Insurance Strictly Sail Boat Show
at Navy Pier! Besides getting to kiss Skipper the Dolphin, my highlight was speaking with a father and his son who have had the incredible privilege to sail around the world. They packed up there entire family, took a huge leap of faith, and spend 4 years at sea exploring the world! Incredible story and you can read Gregg A. Granger’s book “Sailing Faith,” to hear more about it. Him and his family are Dutch like me, so cool! Check his blog out at www.faithofholland.com
. Great things going on this week! You might already know, but it is my birthday this week.
I am very lucky to share my birthday with the most amazing and incredible man in the world; my Dad! He has taught me so much about life, love, family, and of course sports. I also learned important things like this, Dad(question): “Trish, What did I say boys are?” Me(Answer): “Stupid.” I have been a “Daddy’s Girl,” my entire life, so there is no other person I would rather share this day with than him. I LOVE YOU DAD & HAPPY BIRTHDAY! We are also getting something special for you ready for Valentine's Day! Grab ideas for your special someone or just be my Valentine!
