Rockin’ Out And Giving Back!
Posted 9/17/2012 4:19:00 PM
Between the Miller Lite ‘Half Way to St. Patty’s’ Southside Trolley Tour, a charity bike ride, and hanging with the fans at Chicagoland Speedway, it was an awesome weekend! I can hardly believe how many amazing opportunities and experiences Rock Girl has brought me!

Over the next few weeks we will be choosing our top girls to compete for the next Rock Girl title. So Loopers, be on the look out and get ready to vote. You Loopers chose me, and it was the experience of a lifetime!

Rock Girl is not just about rock concerts, photo shoots, and promotions; it is about giving back too! This past Sunday I had the pleasure to participate in the 10th annual Ride for Autism Speaks at the Wild Fire Harley Davidson! The weather was incredible and the turn out of riders and supporters was amazing. There were over 2,000 riders who took the 85 mile scenic ride, including The Loop’s very own Pat Capone! When so many people come together with the same vision, it is awesome to see what good can come of it. My Mom and Sister came out to support the event, and I was really touched when I saw they brought along my niece and nephew as a surprise. My nephew is the reason I am such a huge advocate of the Autism Speaks organization. With the love and support of great family and friends, he is doing so well growing through and rising above the challenges of having autism. Raising autism awareness is the exact reason so many kids are now rising above it...and it is great to see!

Calling all girls, this is the last week to submit to be the next Loop Rock girl! So, get your applications in now! For ONE extremely lucky girl it will be the ultimate year to rock out and give back! Best of Luck!

This is why you deserve to be Rock Girl and spokeswoman for the Loop. You are a beautiful person outside AND inside. Being at the ride and hearing the stories of different riders and their connection to the cause was soooo touching...I'm so glad I was able to experience it. And knowing that as Rock Girl you worked hard to get the Loop involved with a cause so close to your heart, shows you truly "Rock", in all senses of the word! Keep Rockin' out and Givin' back!!
