The original band, featuring David Lee Roth on vocals with the Van Halen Boys, is back together and Chicago is one of their first stops on their 2012 tour! We are all looking forward to the massive Loop pre and post party for the Van Halen concert Friday night. The Loop will be throwing the party at The Crossroads Bar and Grille. In my everyday life, I really like to try crazy new things, but golfing outside in the middle of winter in a bikini definitely wasn’t on my list. I’ll try (almost) anything once, so I grabbed my bikini and boots and headed Saturday night out to “Suits and Boots” at TopGolf. The place was packed, tons of fishbowl cocktails, music, awesome prizes, a goofy photo booth, and a crazy dance party! I had sooooo much fun even though we all froze our asses off! (Tequila definitely helped me with that) Pete and I met so many awesome people and the event was a huge success for the chosen charity. I even did the limbo, wiped out in one of the final rounds, have the bruise on my knee to prove it! I definitely do not want to miss this event next year; and trust me, mark it on your calendars ...

Then from 6-9pm on Saturday, come out to TopGolf for the annual ‘Suits And Boots’ event! There will be fishbowl cocktails, babes in bikinis and tons of awesome giveaways. This weekend I went to three new events I have never been to! Friday I had a funny “photo-shoot” with a moose at the All-Canada Show. There I looked into all the relaxing trips to Ontario that there are to take, and I am totally thinking it would be a great way to unwind from the big city life for a few days.

The Progressive Chicago Boat, RV, and Sports Show was extremely busy with fun stuff to do such as demonstrations, seminars, and of course hundreds of massive boats. I honestly didn’t even have a moment to check out the boats because our Loop tent was sooooo busy! It was pretty cool to meet so many new people and I didn’t stop signing my calendars the entire time.

What a 2011! I don't know about you, but mine was packed full of mostly ups, a couple downs, and tons of fun! Here are the top 5 events that highlighted my year:

• Winning the Loop Rock Girl title!
• Meeting Joe Elliot at the Def Leppard concert
• Interviewing tons of bands at Lollapalooza, and enjoying a 3 day party
• Connecting the Loop with the Autism Speaks Harley Ride in order to make a difference with a charity that means so much to me! Sooo awesome!!
• Finding out that my sister and Brother-in-law are expecting. Can't wait until my new baby niece or nephew arrives; definitely going to be a rock star like their Auntie!

Speaking of naughty or nice, before they're gone make sure you've checked out all of my Trishmas photos and downloads!!  Christmas with my family at home was amazing as usual, and I hope you all had a great holiday as well!  From delightful meals (my Ma is an UNREAL cook), unwrapping stockings and presents, to sharing old stories with my family; I feel so blessed.  My favorite gift that I received was a beautiful painting easel; it was such a surprise and I have been wanting one for years.  Unless you are really close to me, you probably don't know how much I love to paint.  It is a talent that sadly I have not made time for in the past few years, and I am really excited to get back into it.  I have a long list of paintings that have been requested over the years, so I better get to work!  A bottle of wine ...

It’s really hard to believe Christmas is only a few short days away! This is definitely my favorite time of the year to hang with friends and family, blast the annoying Christmas tunes that I LOVE, and of course go shopping! I really didn’t ask for much this Christmas, but a Bears win against Green Bay sure would be nice for all of us. But, I’ll definitely take a Bulls win on Christmas Day too!

Despite the disappointing loss Sunday, I had a fabulous time at Miller’s Ale House on their brand new patio. This place is a sports watching, beer drinking person’s dream! The “12 Days of Trishmas” has begun! So much time and work went into all this at the station and I am so excited it is finally here. When the idea of 12 days of Christmas lingerie was first brought to me I was thrilled to finally get my “Victoria Secret Moment”. To me that means being proud of the person I have become, finally earning my moment in the spot light, and getting to share a piece of my passion with all of you. Growing up I always told my Ma that one day I was going to be a Victoria’s Secret Model on the runway. Well, my life has taken me in a totally different direction; and I could not feel any happier and blessed to be exactly where I am today.

Despite a terrible Bears loss yesterday, this weekend was a crazy rockin’ time between Calumet Harley Davidson, Trans Siberian Orchestra, and Monsters of Mock! I was lucky enough to have one of my best college friends in town to travel to all my events with me. We went to college together and definitely brought back the good ol’ days! Out at Monsters of Mock at Durty Nellies we had such a great time goofing around, singing along to some of our ARRA favorites, and enjoying a few cocktails. The life as a Rock Girl is a whirlwind of events and experiences and I am so glad she got to see what I do.

I cannot believe I have been your Rock Girl for almost 8 moths now and that it’s almost Christmas! Time truly does fly by when you are having fun! This Friday night I will be back out ...

I hope Thanksgiving was as good for you as it was for me! To sit at home warm, stuffed after a great big ol’ delicious meal, watching football with my gramps and dad, smelling dessert on the way; I couldn't have felt more thankful! Health, family, and love, what more can we really need? Oh and shopping too! Haha, kidding, but I did have a blast hitting up the packed frenzy at the mall with my sister and mom at midnight of Black Friday. Got a head start on my shopping, but even more I love the tradition with the girls and it really gets me jump started into the Christmas spirit.
