Who better to rock you through your work day than Pat Capone? A native of Chicago with 20 years of rock radio experience, Pat lives and breathes rock ‘n’ roll. Pat loves grabbing his Gibson Voodoo Flying V guitar and plugging it in to 100 watt Marshall Stacks – something he’s been doing for 35 years! He’s been lucky enough to headline music festivals with acts like Joe Satriani, KORN and Great White.

An avid Harley enthusiast, Pat’s most often found riding his 100th anniversary Harley Davidson Fatboy down Lakeshore Drive and through the hills of Northern Illinois, stopping at those cool out-of-the-way places for some good food and fun.

While Pat hits the gym 5 days-a-week, he’s most comfortable in his boots, blue jeans and worn out leather jacket hunting down Chicago deep dish, cheeseburgers or Chicago-Style hot dogs.

Other passions include turning the wrenches on old muscle cars, snowboarding down the back bowls of Vail, fly fishing the rivers of Illinois and attending every great live rock concert this great city has to offer.

“I grew up listening to The Loop, and it’s been a life-long dream of mine to do radio here,” Pat says. “I couldn’t be more thrilled to be a part of this legendary station.”

Whenever I meet a brand new guitarist for the first time I usually ask them who they are influenced by musically. What kind of music do they like to listen to? Who are their favorite bands and Guitarists? More often than not, I hear a very narrow list, and almost always it’s from the same musical genre. “I ...
