Ain't Like It Used to Be

I’m tired of people saying things aren’t how they used to be. Of course they’re not like they used to be! This is the now – the present – the NEW.
These “against-new” people don’t like the way kids dress, they don’t like new music and they really hate all of this Facebook and Twitter stuff. They say things like, “Don’t people talk face to face any more!?” The answer: NO! WHY? Because that’s dumb. It’s way easier to TXT, email or Tweet than call someone --- after all, does anyone even pick up their phones anymore!?
Being mad at Twitter, Facebook and TXTing is like a person being mad at the telephone for replacing the telegraph. Talking smack about new music and the way kids dress is like your parents not liking the music you listened to or the way you dressed as a teenager.
Change is always hard – no one said it was easy BUT change is inevitable. Either get on board with the rest of us or send a telegram to Andy Rooney and wait 6-8 weeks for a response.
