Interactive/Video Internship at The Loop

The Loop is looking for Interns. If you want to learn how video and web design serve as resourceful tools in the Radio industry, this internship is for you!

We have internship opportunities available all year round. The next LOOP Interactive Internship program takes place this Spring from January 2008 through May 2008. Or, if you’re interested in a Summer internship, it runs May 2008 through September 2008. We are looking for hard-working, ambitious college students willing to spend their time in a fast-paced, exciting and unique environment, learning what it takes to succeed in major-market radio.

Interns will be asked to dedicate 20-30 hours per week to the Interactive/Video department for The Loop 97.9 and will be exposed to interactive and sales aspects of the radio stations. Interns will be responsible for various duties such as logging and capturing video, cutting recap videos for clients, shooting video on high end camcorders, creating graphics for the web and assisting department staff with various needs. On-site responsibilities will include shooting video at events such as street festivals, concerts and various sales promotions.

A major in Radio, or Video is not a requirement, but a friendly, outgoing, hard-working personality is absolutely necessary. Also, one must be experienced with Final Cut Pro and basic camera operation. The internship is unpaid and we require that you receive credit from your school. If spending your time working your butt off for Chicago’s primary rock stations sounds like something you'd enjoy, then email a cover letter and resume to:
