The Loop is looking for 2010 Spring Interns!
If you have an
outgoing personality, flexible schedule and are willing to work hard, then The
Loop wants you!
The next Loop Marketing & Promotions Internship program
takes place this spring from January 2010 through May 2010. We are looking for
hard-working, ambitious people, willing to spend their time in a fast-paced,
exciting and unique environment, learning what it takes to succeed in
major-market radio. Interns will be asked to dedicate 20-30 hours per week to
the Promotion & Marketing department for 97.9 The Loop and Emmis Chicago
Radio. Interns will be responsible for various office duties such as preparing
for station events, contacting contest winners, mailing out prizes and
assisting department staff with various needs. On-site responsibilities will
include execution of station events, concerts, movie premieres, street
festivals and various sales promotions.
A major in Radio is not a requirement, but a friendly,
outgoing, hard-working personality is absolutely necessary. The internship is
unpaid and we require that you receive credit from your school. If spending
your time working your butt off for Chicago’s premiere rock station sounds like
something you'd enjoy, then email a cover letter and resume to:
Chris “Terry” Phelan, Assistant Promotions Director
97.9 The Loop // WLUP-FM at terry@wlup.com
Cover letters and resumes will be accepted until December
7th, 2009.
