John Fogerty, Stevie Nicks to Perform as Part of Dave Grohl's Sound City Players at Sundance Film Fest

Facebook.com/SoundCityMovieEver since Dave Grohl announced that he would be playing a concert with some of the artists featured in his star-packed Sound City documentary next week during the Sundance Film Festival, fans have been wondering just who willing be joining the Foo Fighters frontman at the show.  On Wednesday, Grohl posted a picture on his film's official Facebook page that reveals the full list of performers he'll share the stage with as Sound City Players.

Among the musical luminaries accompanying Grohl will be John Fogerty, Stevie Nicks, Cheap Trick guitarist Rick Nielsen, all the other members of the Foo Fighters and ex-Nirvana bassist Krist Novoselic. Also performing at the show will be Queens of the Stone Age multi-intrumentalist Alain Johannes, Fear frontman Lee Ving, Rage Against the Machine drummer Brad Wilk, Wallflowers keyboardist Rami Jaffee, Slipknot/Stone Sour singer Corey Taylor and Rick Springfield, among others.  Grohl's Sound City Players concert will take place on January 18 at Park City Live in Park City, Utah.  That's the same day that Sound City premieres at the Sundance Film Festival.

Sound City profiles Los Angeles' legendary Sound City Studios, where Grohl and Nirvana recorded the band's 1991 iconic album, Nevermind, and features interviews and exclusive performances from artists who have recorded at the famous studio during their careers.  In addition those performing as the Sound City Players, other artists featured in the film and on its soundtrack include by Paul McCartney, Lindsey Buckingham, Neil Young, Tom Petty, Nine Inch Nails frontman Trent Reznor, Queens of the Stone Age's Josh Homme and Rage Against the Machine's Tim Commerford.
