Rick Diamond/Getty ImagesThe Who's Roger Daltrey and Aerosmith's Steven Tyler are among the stars set to perform at the annual Raise Your Voice benefit, scheduled for January 24 at the Beverly Hills Hotel in Los Angeles. The event raises funds for the Voice Health Institute, which supports research into helping restore speaking and singing ability to people who have experienced vocal damage through trauma or illness. Lionel Richie and up-and-coming singer Christina Perri also will sing during the benefit, which, in addition to the entertainment, will feature a private dinner and auction.
The Voice Health Institute was founded by Dr. Steven Zeitels, who has treated many high-profile artists who have experienced serious voice problems, including Daltrey, Tyler, Richie, Perri, KISS' Paul Stanley, Adele and Julie Andrews. Tyler and Andrews serve as honorary co-chairs of the fundraiser.
Tickets for the event cost $1,000, and can be purchased at the institute's official website, VoiceHealth.org.
