Bill Leen, 2nd from left; Facebook.com/Gin-BlossomsThe Gin Blossoms had a scary moment during a concert in New York City last Friday when bass player Bill Leen suddenly collapsed onstage.
A video obtained by TMZ shows the band performing their hit 1993 song “Hey Jealousy” at The Paramount in Manhattan when Leen stumbles backwards and crashes to the floor, appearing passing out. The video shows a stagehand racing over to help the musician.
The website says Leen recovered a short time later and refused medical attention. A band rep later told TMZ that the bassist’s mishap had been caused by “exhaustion from the road,” and that after a good night's rest, he was back on stage the next evening.
