Mick Jagger Hints at Possible Rolling Stones Glastonbury Festival Performance

Universal Music GroupThe Rolling Stones may not be playing this year's Coachella festival in Indio, California, but recent comments from frontman Mick Jagger seem to suggest that the band may be eyeing a performance at one of the U.K.'s biggest music events, the Glastonbury Festival.  In a new interview with British music magazine NME, the singer wouldn't confirm any specifics about his group's 2013 tour plans, but he did deliver a few choice remarks regarding Glastonbury.

"All I'm doing at the moment is sifting through the possibilities, looking at the dates and how each one can fit in and so on," Jagger noted about potential Stones concerts.  "Then we'll see what we can come out with."

As for Glastonbury, Sir Mick declared, "There are other things in the world, you know, apart from Glastonbury!  But then again, Glastonbury is very important.  It seems to be very important to my children -- highlight of their year!"

Jagger eventually returned to the subject of the festival later in the interview, and seemed to hint at a specific day that the band might appear at the event.  "Is it going to be rainy on the Sunday?" he asked  "Isn't it nearly always rainy on the Sunday?"

The Glatonbury Festival is held annually in Pilton, England, and this year is scheduled to run from Wednesday, June 26, through Sunday, June 30.
