RonnieWoodRadio.comRolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood joined Twitter this week with the handle @RonaldDavidWood, and Wednesday he held an impromptu, half-hour "Ask Ronnie" session with fans in which he addressed everything from what he likes to drink while tweeting, that would be coconut water, to changing diapers.
Wood told fans that his favorite song to play live is the Stones classic "Can't You Hear Me Knockin'" while his favorite Faces songs to play live are "Oh La La" and "Stay with Me."
His favorite musical era is the 1950s.
Among his earliest guitar influences, he tweeted, was Booker T and the MGs axe man Steve Cropper. Wood named Smiths guitarist Johnny Marr one musician he'd love to share the stage with. And when asked who his favorite bass players are, Wood named session player Willie Weeks -- who has played with everyone from Donny Hathaway to George Harrision -- Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Flea and himself!
Wood now has more than 20,000 followers and tweeted regarding his "Ask Ronnie" session, "Great questions - thank you! I'll do it again soon."
