Vanguard RecordsJohn Fogerty has added a special appearance at Harley-Davidson's 110th Anniversary Celebration in Milwaukee next month to his 2013 itinerary. The ex-Creedence Clearwater Revival frontman will be a special guest at Kid Rock's previously announced August 31 concert at the Marcus Amphitheater, which is one of three headlining shows being held at the venue during the famed motorcycle company's anniversary festivities.
Fogerty is slated to sit in with the rap rocker for one set during the gig. Kid Rock, of course, is one of the many guest artists who contributed to John's latest album, Wrote a Song for Everyone, singing a duet version of the CCR classic "Born on the Bayou."
The August 31 concert currently is Fogerty's next scheduled performance. He'll follow it with a pair of festival appearances in September before kicking off a fall U.S. tour on October 10 in Los Angeles.
The Harley-Davidson 110th anniversary bash, meanwhile, runs from August 29 through September 1. In addition to the Marcus Amphitheatre shows, which also include concerts by country star Toby Keith on August 29 and Aerosmith on August 30, the celebration features a series of performances at Milwaukee's Henry Maier Festival Park, where the city's annual Summerfest is held. Among the many acts slated to play at these events are Lynyrd Skynyrd, ZZ Top, The Doobie Brothers, Blue Oyster Cult, Joan Jett & the Blackhearts and Elvin Bishop.
