97.9 WLUP is Chicago’s rock station...

WLUP was born in 1977, playing rock music for Chicagoans. The station was nicknamed “The Loop” in honor of the downtown area of the city where the El Train turns around. Over 30 years later, the Loop still offers the best of rock and entertainment to listeners.
