The biggest buzz comimg out of Comic-Con right now is the release of the Mad Max: Fury Road trailer, starring Tom Hardy and Charlize Theron. Some of us, having grown up with the Mad Max Trilogy, cringed when we heard that this movie was in the works. But the 3-minute trailer (below) drew high praise from bloggers at Comic-Con, hailing the footage as some of the most impressive seen at this year's event.
Director George Miller called the film "basically a Western on wheels" during a press conference. And the film's got a rare level of reality to it, opting for real people and vehicles over computer generated action: "We decided to literally do every car that’s smashed is smashed, every stunt is a real human being, even the actors do a lot of their own stunts, and so on," Miller said.
Fury Road is set for release in May 2015.
