New Trailer for Dave Grohl’s Sonic Highways HBO Series

Dave Grohl has released another extended trailer for his HBO series, Sonic Highways.

The series will follow Foo Fighters founder Dave Grohl and his bandmates as they visit eight American cities – including Chicago – with a rich musical heritage and famous recording studios. The eight new songs recorded during the trip will make up the Foo Fighters' eighth album, also called "Sonic Highways."

Grohl directed the eight-part rock & roll documentary which debuts October 17 at 10 p.m. Central Time.

Among the collaborators are Bonnie Raitt, Billy Gibbons and ZZ Top, Cheap Trick's Rick Nielsen, blues legend Buddy Guy, Slash, Willie Nelson, Dolly Parton, Macklemore and Trombone Shorty. Even Obama sits down with Grohl for a chat. "American music," Obama says, is "about rejecting what is already there to create something entirely new."
