Foo Fighters release Chicago recording ‘Something From Nothing’

The first track released from the Foo Fighters album Sonic Highways is the one recorded in Chicago. “Something From Nothing” was recorded at Steve Albini’s Electric Audio on West Belmont, with Cheap Trick guitarist Rick Nielsen serving as Chi-City’s guest of honor.

The first episode of Sonic Highways (“Chicago”) will air tomorrow night at 10pm, to coincide with the release of the single, but you can listen to that single right now below.

And, as we reported yesterday, the Foo’s are ythrowing an album/series release party at Cubby Bear Friday night.  Sorry, tickets were all gone in minutes.
