It wasn’t the hard partying ways of the 70’s and 80’s that almost did Joey Kramer in, it was a routine fill up of his Ferrari.  17 years ago today, the fuel line fell out of his Ferrari, causing fuel to spill everywhere and ignite.  It was later determined that Joey had left the car running while filling up which contributed to the fire.  Joey sustained second degree burns in what he called, “a nightmare in the flesh.” Luckily, Joey made a full recovery, and has stayed away from Ferrari dealerships ever since.
