Styx to Donate $25,000 to Paris Attack Victims

styx 2

Our hometown boys Styx are making a very generous donation of $25,000 made by Rock to the Rescue, a non-profit organization Styx and REO Speedwagon teamed up to create. The donation will be given to the Sweet Stuff Foundation. Guitarist Tommy Shaw added in a press release, “We feel terribly saddened and outraged by these attacks. We hope that our contribution will help ease some of the pain and some of the expenses of what this means to the families as they go through the process of grieving and bringing their loved ones home.” The band has a relationship with the Eagles Of Death Metal, the band that was playing when their show was attacked. They both belong to the same record label. It is a great gesture by a great band. If you would like to make a donation to the Sweet Stuff Foundation, please click on the link below.
