Thought the Guns n’ Roses reunion was big news? Certainly it is. And after months of rumors as to whether we’d see them or not, comes news of a scenario no rock fan imagined. Axl Rose will serve as AC/DC’s singer for the concert dates they had to postpone when AC/DC frontman Brian Johnson encountered hearing issues.
To confirm the news, AC/DC guitarist Angus Young appeared onstage during the Guns n’ Roses set at the Coachella festival in Indio, California last night to perform “Whole Lotta Rosie” and “Riff Raff”. Axl sounds stunningly good on these Bon Scott era AC/DC classics.
WLUP’s Tim Virgin was on site and will detail the evening for you upon his return to Chicago.
Here is an onsite recap from BILLBOARD.
And here is fan footage from last night’s historic event.
