Journey guitarist Neal Schon says fans seeing the band this summer can expect major changes in the band’s set list. The big hits? Of course. But in an interview with the Arizona Republic, Schon says “People want to see the jams. And we know how to jam very well.”
So expect less of the down-tempo material, and rockers like “Line of Fire” from “Departure”. Schon also name-checks “Walks Like a Lady” from that album.
He says he reached out to the band and asked them to “open the mind and bring it”.
With such a deep library to choose from, these shows this summer sound fun.
They visit Hollywood Casino Amphitheater on August 13th. Stay with The Loop for ways to win tickets.
In the interview, Cain also addresses his relationship with former singer Steve Perry and how they became a hitmaking machine.
