John Bonham of Led Zeppelin Would Have Been 68 Today

John Bonham

It’s been said that a band is only as good as its drummer, and, wow, could John Bonham play.  NOBODY pounded the skins like Bonham,  And that must have been a big part of the reason Led Zeppelin didn’t continue after his premature death at only 32.

We look forward to hosting his son, the very able Jason Bonham, when he appears in Sammy Hagar’s backing band The Circle, at The Loop Luau September 2nd at FirstMerit Bank Pavillion.

In the meantime, let’s salute John Bonham on what would have been his 68th birthday today with this incredible 1970 performance of the drumming classic “Moby Dick”.
