ROGER WATERS-What’s in an Autograph?

Apparently Roger Waters gets bored of signing his own name.

A fan named Jim Clarke ordered The Wall: Super Deluxe Edition box set, which costs $500 and is limited to 3,000 copies. Waters’ site promised that the Pink Floyd co-founder would sign every copy, but when Clarke opened up his set it was signed “Love, Jimmy Smith.”

After a website called Super Deluxe Edition reported that, two other fans chimed in to say that Waters signed their copies as “Jelly Lord” and “Johnny Dodds.” That clarifies what Waters had in mind: all three are late jazz musicians. (“Jelly Lord” is a nickname used by Jelly Roll Morton.)
