Journey guitarist Neal Schon sounds like he’d like to mend some fences.

He received the following tweet: “I hope you and Steve Perry can record music together again. That kind of partnership is a once-in-a-lifetime fit. Timeless.” And he responded, “I really miss Steve and the creative thing that happens every time we ever got together from the beginning. Hopeful.”

It wasn’t exactly what he is hopeful for, but when Journey was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame this month, he told us that Perry had suggested they get together for a cup of coffee.

This year’s ceremony airs on HBO this Saturday night at 8 ET.
