2. Metallica “Hit the Stage.” The national contest to find an opening band for Metallica brought out some of Chicago’s best bands.

3. Woman shows off second base at Cubs game (NSFW). The video’s long since been pulled down, but the mammary remains.

4. Rockin’ Rides. Four kickass muscle cars were given away this year!

7. Linkin Park singer kills himself. The tragic suicide of Chester Bennington at the age of 41 hit hard.

8. Comedian Ralphie May dead. Another horrible loss.

9. Next2Rock. National band search that found Chicago band Marina City advancing to the national finale in L.A.!

10. Loop Rock Girls. As the Loop rocked into its 40th anniversary, we saluted all our Loop Rock Girls, from Lorelei to April.
